We tried a KiwiCo box for my 7 year old, i was kind of surprised by how much he got into it. I figured it might be one of those things where I’d end up doing most of the work while he wandered off, but that wasn’t really the case. He was able to handle a lot of the steps on his own, and then there were a few parts where he’d call me over for help, which actually made it feel like a nice little thing we were doing together without it turning into a whole big project for me.
What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like just another random toy that gets opened, played with for five minutes, and then left on the floor forever. He built it, played with it right away, and then kept going back to it later, which is usually how I can tell something was actually worth it. It was especially good for a rainy afternoon when we were stuck inside and I was trying to avoid handing him a screen the entire time.

I got a KiwiCo box for my 6-year-old, and the age range felt accurate. It wasn’t too babyish, which she definitely would’ve noticed, but it also wasn’t so hard that she got frustrated and walked away or anything like that...
There were still a few parts where I needed to hang around, mostly for reading the instructions and helping with the tiny pieces. But she was able to do a lot of it on her own, which was nice because she felt like it was her project, not mine.
I like that it keeps her busy without it feeling like homework or some big structured activity. Just a fun little thing to do, and she actually stayed interested, so... happy with it overall

I’ve been really happy with how reliable the shipping is. My order has shown up on time every single month, and I especially appreciate not having to check tracking constantly or wonder if it’ll be late.

My kid really enjoys getting these boxes and most of the time it feels worth what we pay. Some months are definitely better than others but we usually end up using most of what comes inside. I just wish the shipping was a little quicker sometimes. Overall we’re happy with it.

I ended up canceling my KiwiCo subscription because my kid has gotten sorta busy with school and wasn’t really keeping up with the boxes anymore. I thought it might be a whole annoying process, but it was straightforward.
I found the cancel option in my account, clicked through, and didn’t have to call or chat with anyone. The confirmation email came right away too, and I haven’t seen any weird extra charges, which I definitely appreciate

I picked up a few boxes for my kids, not really expecting much, but they’ve been surprisingly into them. They’ll finish a project and then start asking questions about how things work, which I guess is the whole point. It makes the science stuff feel more like play than homework. A few pieces can be a little fiddly, and I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, but it’s been better than I expected.

I had this stupid issue pop up and expected it to be a whole pain in the ass, but their support team jumped in and fixed it quickly. No endless back-and-forth, no nonsense—just got it sorted when I needed help.

The instructions were easy to follow for the most part. I only got stuck on one step for a minute, but once I figured it out, everything went smoothly. Overall, I’d say it was a good experience

My son actually stays focused the whole time with this, which is a huge win for us. It keeps him busy, happy, and interested instead of getting bored after a few minutes. Seeing him enjoy something like this really makes me happy

i mean, I really like that KiwiCo has so many different kits for different ages and interests. My kid gets bored easily, so having a good mix to pick from definitely helps. Some kits are a bigger hit than others, but overall it’s been a good experience and keeps things feeling fresh

We’ve tried a few KiwiCo boxes now, i’ve been impressed with the quality. The materials feel sturdy, not flimsy or cheap, and the pieces usually go together the way they’re supposed to.
My son is not exactly gentle with his toys, but the projects have held up surprisingly well even after he keeps playing with them. The instructions are clear without feeling overly long or boring, which makes a big difference.
They’re not the cheapest kits out there, but I do feel like we’re getting what we pay for. Overall, it’s been a good experience, and my kids actually use the stuff after building it.

The billing info was easy to understand overall, and I knew when I was going to be charged. I did get a bit confused trying to find the pause options though, they weren’t exactly where I expected them to be.
